Welcome to Thadius, the newest member of the HauntedPortraits Gallery. "Thadius was a good looking ladies man from New York. "Love em and leave em" was this heart throb's motto. On a trip to New Orleans he met a dark mysterious local girl named Marie. An easy conquest, Thadius thought to himself. He spun all his charms and crooned every smooth line he knew, to no avail. Frustrated, he stood up and proclaimed that Marie was too ugly for any man to ever want. Marie's eyes glowed with fire as strange words pierced Thadius like jagged little knives. When her words stopped she quietly said "No woman will ever fall for your good looks again" When Thadius returned to New York he appeared to have aged 40 years, as though all the youth had been drained from his handsome face. Although he did find love and marry many years later, his wife fell not for his looks, but his heart, which had grown as beautiful as his face once was." If you appertain scary instead of gory you will love this one. He ages 40 years right before your eyes as you pass by. I visited Walt Disney World (WDW) way back in 1973. Back then WDW was just the Magic Kingdom, but oh what a Magical place it was. Of all the things we did at the park that crowded Easter weekend, the one that was truly awe inspiring was the Haunted Mansion. In my opinion this is the finest work of Disney Imagineering ever created. I had the joy a few years ago of sharing the Haunted Mansion and it's resident 999 ghosts with my daughter and now it's her favorite also. As a tribute to the Haunted Mansion I have a page on my website with blueprints from The Walt Disney World Haunted Mansion. To my knowledge it's the only place on the Internet where you can view this collection.
